Meet LaNella

LaNella Hooper-Williams helps emerging and senior leaders communicate with clarity and confidence, strengthen their personal brands and increase their leadership impact.

A leadership communication strategist, personal branding expert, speaker and executive coach, LaNella brings more than 35 years of corporate communication and marketing experience to her work. Her engaging, energetic and practical approach gives leaders strategies they can apply immediately—in presentations, important conversations and defining career moments.

Throughout her career, LaNella has advised CEOs and C-suite executives, led corporate communication and marketing programs, and helped professionals at every stage strengthen their credibility, visibility and influence. Before launching Hooper Williams Communications, LLC, she held vice president and director-level positions at Johnson & Johnson, Lincoln Financial Group and PNC Bank.

LaNella has facilitated leadership communication, executive presence, presentation skills and personal-branding programs for corporations, universities and professional associations. Her clients have included Johnson & Johnson, Rutgers University, ARAMARK, Carnegie Mellon University, Fannie Mae and other leading organizations.

She also served as an adjunct professor at New York University’s Graduate School of Public Relations and Communications, where she taught public relations management and brand development.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, LaNella earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.A. in Marketing Communications from Duquesne University. She has also participated in an executive leadership program at Harvard Business School and is a graduate of Leadership Philadelphia.
